AZTEM is an Australian based, non-denominational organisation and a member of the Evangelical Alliance, which in itself is a national fellowship of individuals, churches and organisations committed to sharing the good news of Jesus Christ, and applying it to every part of life. AZTEM’s purpose is to encourage and help Christians to become effective Tentmakers, working in a culture other than their own, especially where people do not have ready access to the Gospel.
The word "AZTEM" is a contraction of two interrelated thoughts. "AZ" stands for Jesus Christ - the Alpha and Omega, the First and the Last (Rev 1:8). "TEM" is an abbreviation of the word "Tentmaker". In terms of belief, AZTEM is in wholehearted accord with the Lausanne Covenant of July 2, 1974. We can send a detailed statement of faith on request.
